Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do you offer single dog walks?
We believe strongly in the benefits from dogs walking in the pack setting - however, if we assess that your dog is not quite ready for the pack, we do offer private individual walks with our pack-walk assistants in selected service areas. Please schedule an evaluation so we can help you determine which service best suits your dog's needs. Private walk prices vary depending on behavior and location.
  • What is your screening process for the pack walks?
Every Healing Pack member undergoes an extensive one hour evaluation. This assessment is free of cost to the owner and we will go over training goals, review medical and behavioral history, as well take your dog out on a walk to assess their skills on leash and test their temperament. We will bring balanced dogs to temperament test your dog and assess his/her level of socialization.
  • How long are the pack walks? What is the pack walk schedule?
The pack walks are typically one hour in duration, and on days when the heat exceeds 80 degrees, we cut the duration of actual walking to only 30 minutes, spending the other 30 minutes relaxing and staying cool. On average, most dogs are gone a minimum of two hours, with some dogs being gone as long as 4 hours, depending on where you reside on our driving route. Pickups are from 9:00am-11:30am and dropoffs from 12:00pm-3:30pm, Monday, Wednesday & Friday. We do not offer pack walks on the weekends. Our pack walk assistants do offer private weekend walks upon request.
  • When are you available for training and evaluations?
Private training sessions & evaluations are available on Tuesdays, Thursdays and weekends. Please schedule a training evaluation before booking a private training session. Pack walk evaluations are free of charge.
  • Do you have pet insurance? Are you a part of any professional associations?
Yes, we are fully insured through Petsitters Associates. We are also members of Pet Sitters International.
  • Who took your amazing professional dog photos?
    Assistant pack leader Matthew Bertoni!
