Do you offer single dog walks? Our main service is pack walks. We also offer individual training walk sessions with the owner involved. We do not offer private, single dog walks at this time.
What is your screening process for the pack walks? Every Healing Pack member undergoes an extensive one hour evaluation. This assessment is free of cost to the owner and we will go over training goals, review medical and behavioral history, as well take your dog out on a walk to assess their skills on leash. We will bring balanced dogs to temperament test your dog and assess his/her level of socialization. An assessment for walks is not a guarantee that your dog will be accepted for services. If we feel your dog needs further support, we are available for private training as well.
How long are the pack walks? What is the pack walk schedule? We walk Monday through Friday, with the exception of National Holidays. Walks are typically one hour in duration, and on days when the heat exceeds 80 degrees, we cut the duration of actual walking to 30-45 minutes, spending the remainder of the time relaxing and staying cool - (or we visit one of our clients yards for a pool day!) On average, most dogs are gone a minimum of two hours, with some dogs being gone as long as 4 hours, depending on where you reside on our driving route. Pickups are from 9:00am-11:00am and drop-offs from 12:00pm-2:00pm, Monday through Friday. We do not offer pack walks on the weekends.
When are you available for evaluations and training? Evaluations for pack walks and training are available on a first come, first serve basis. We have availability on Saturdays from 9AM to 2PM. We also have some weekday afternoon and early evening appointments available by request.
Do you offer any ongoing education, lectures, or in person shadow opportunities? We hosted the Pack Walkers Virtual summit earlier this year. You can watch the lectures here. We also offer business coaching, virtual sessions and in-person shadow days here in Los Angeles. Check out our services page to learn more.
Do you have pet insurance? Are you a part of any professional associations? Yes, we are fully insured through Petsitters Associates.
